Remains

I suppose that change is the constant
Yet such cliché refuses to nourish the languid heartbeat of pause
That stuck half shudder breath that catches in the window, and the throat
The foraging through dreams which seem to calm these gushing wounds
My soul knit together with the threads of yearning; sinew thinned and parched
Nothing is as it was, and yet there is the sacred constant
The nearness of your mouth, the scent of your skin, the blue of your eyes
And all that does inspire my reflection and my faith

Sometimes realization is the change. Thank you for this lovely poem - I can actually identify with much of it, and that takes some doing on the artist's part!

A really lovely poem on a very Buddhist topic -- change.I particularly like "the languid heartbeat of pause" and "the sacred constant."
