Irises dot lace along hem of
flowing creek where stanzas found the time
to speak a child holds secrets 'neath her feet but
hasn't yet realized what of it's meant or worth she
runs & flies she kicks through before thinking
a neighbor's new fallen pile of leaves
spinning flying in arrayed

spiral rings
sinking
stops
just
long
enough
to take in a

look upon and smell the
scent and what a thrill today has been
she's far from being wrapped around disturbing
lament with it's shuddering doubts to heaven sent
or cried - why - have these angry clouds passed
over the eyes of understanding on their
way to realize

Really enjoyed the concrete poem- engaging; poignant.. and in my eye it looks like a tree with it`s reflection in water below~ masterful job making the form work so well with the subject.  =)

I could read this over and over for the view alone, Dale.

So good to read you again, and what a jewel you have given us with this poem, in so many ways Dale.

"a child holds secrets 'neath her feet"  A child does indeed and you were blessed to see the child as well as the secret.  So lovely to read you!

Dale,

It is so good to read you again - and I particularly love

This one line captivated me.

Gosh... I really love you people. I'm sorry I won't be doing much writing this summer, to much house work... ha ha. However... I have a lot of good notes, mostly in the minor keys and I'll probably see ya all this autumn/winter, of course you might keep on the lookout... I do throw things in on a whim.

Thank you all so much
dale
