Clean Sheet to Write On

On this morning I reflect
Upon this gift I've been given
A clean sheet of paper
To write whatever I want
In whatever manner I  choose
No matter what I wrote yesterday
Or may write tomorrow
This page is mine alone
And I am the author
The manager of my moment
And when the page is full
I will file it away
As tomorrow I will receive
Another clean sheet of paper
and I will humbly reflect
Upon this precious gift...
...that is my life.

Life reflected on paper. That's the only way I can remember my life these days. Some of the paper is so old it takes on a parchment color.

Very nicely written. I guess that to avoid the previous day's impressions one should tear off each page and write on a blotter, rather than just use the tablet as such.

Absolutely lovely!!

Life isn't about how to survive the storm...
But how to dance in the rain.

Would that my students could view their lives with such clarity. I like the style and feel of this one.

I liked this piece and I can appreciate your thoughts.  Except I have crumpled so many pieces of paper trying to get my thoughts down right.

Yo Whisperingwalt,

That's the way every day of a person's life should be viewed.

I liked this poem.

I, also, like this.  It reminds me of how inspirational a clean sheet of paper can be to write or draw on.  I have a poem whispering in my head all day today.

"The manager of my moment"

Ahhh, very nice, the book of our lives.

No wonder my book is nothing but blank pages?

Very well done.
