Every time I go out there,
to the wild off-road out-of-control,
a place it seems I have no care,
just frolicking around with my bowl,
I tend to ignore the dangers
and let the fantasy hit me,
I very often scare the strangers...

if it were a snake, it woulda bit me.

Every push-back of every leaf
reveals a sweet and juicy gem,

I smile and pull and forget my grief,
and strangers, I simply wave at them.

I always sing that song to me
because I surely can relate,
living is easy with eyes closed,
seeing what I want to see...

no one I think is in my tree-
or maybe it is just my fate.

You take some risks, but it does you good I think. You may not be understood by strangers, but Nature and you surely have a deep bond. Sometimes it is necessary to focus on what gives us pleasure, letting the worries fade into silence and adjust.

Enjoyed this much.

Love and hugs.

What a sweet poem if only I didn't worry so much I could have more fun and be a bit more at ease. Nice poem

Dixie,

What an eye you have for photography and nature!  It's nature that reels me back when things aren't going so well.

I cheated this year and bought strawberry plants that alread had ripe strawberries on them, but still, they didn't look anything like your gorgeous strawberry patch!

   It's good reading you again!

a snake!  I think I will just buy mine from the Farmer's Market thank you very much.   That strawberry looks like an acorn, and made me think of Lyra, Madam Chipmunk.

Great poem and pictures.
