Passing of Time
By Larry Chadwick
In memory of Ginger Michelle February 19, 1974 - May 18, 2002

If I speak of how I miss you
When everybody knows,
It’s because I cannot help
The way my heartache shows.

If you hadn’t gone away
Before it was your time,
I wouldn’t be so lonely,
In fact I’d be just fine.

I know it’s been a while,
Since the day that was so dark.
I haven’t yet forgotten,
The way you left your mark.

And your memory is alive,
But not because of me.
It’s all about the woman,
That you turned out to be.

May 19, 2010

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

There can be no greater pain than the loss of a child. This is a beautiful expression of that loss and a lovely tribute to your daughter, Larry. (((HUGS)))

Oh you write of the missing and the heartache so beautifully.

You remind us that the love we share lives on and on, for an eternity.

Warm hugs to you, Larry dear~

A tragic loss of a wonderful woman.  Only her Dad could write such a beautiful tribute.

My friend, she was here too short a time... but she touched so many lives. And she still does. We've shared your heartbreak but we've also shared your love for her... a love so incredibly beautiful it's changed all of us for the better. Beautiful work... big hugs!!!

What a beautiful poem for your wonderful child. It's sweet, sad and touching with alot of love. May the passing of time makes you smile instead to weep.

Larry, I saw you log on recently through IM. I thought about you, your family, son, daughter, life.

I thought about her.

She is so proud of you.

I am at a loss at what to say.  I think these are fine words written from a father to a daughter.

Dearest Maureen,
All is well, dear M. And thank you.

Hey Jeff,
Those are very kind words and I so appreciate them. Thank you sir.

Dearest Ruthie,
You are so kind and I hope all is well with you. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.

Dearest Alison,
Well, thank you for your tenderness.

Ken,
The passing of time does soften the pain, and there have been many smiles of memory but occasionally there are tears but never of regret. And thank you for your thoughtfulness.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

I am grateful that your pain in life has not dminished your humor. But your depth of understanding has never escaped me. You're a good friend. Thank you sir. ;>

James,
Thanks.

Sweet Karilea,
Your generous understanding and thoughtfulness has never been forgotten. I am grateful for your friendship.

Earl,
So true, it is. And your sensitivity is kindly felt.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Dear Larry, your words tug at my heartstrings ... no such love and such pain will always remain vivid companions in your life.

Poignant and beautifully written.

Love and hugs.
