The Triple Barriers

The triple barriers that separate us one from another
are Time, Circumstance and Space.
But, as formidable as they might seem,
They are permeable, porous and almost transparent sometimes.
When I read your words,
you take me through the triple barriers,
let me in on personal just between us secrets,
let me briefly tantalizing glimpse you on the other side,
staring at your monitor,
Sitting, in your chair,
Just like I am sitting in my chair right now.
And it truly warms my heart to know that.

What we call “reality”
is really nothing but the stuff of dreams,
so if you want something to come real, then dream,
and know that I am dreaming too;
dreaming of someone like you.
What we call “reality”
is really nothing more
than fantasies powered by desire.
So if you long something to come real, then fantasize, like Sea does,
And know that I long to be with you.

This isn’t crazy, “new age” talk.
One night I wrote,
responding to a whimsical poem,
Written by someone called Midnitesun.

Then Midnitesun showed up at my door.
Who can say there’s no such thing as magic?
And now, though she has passed away,
I’ll never get Midnitesun out of my heart.

You are right, dear Jaime, with your lovely ponderings.

Dear Midnitesun IS indeed close in mind and heart forever and this proves your affirmations.

Love,
Margherita
