I see your hands shake
And my heart aches
Your heartbreaks
Over my mistake
And it makes me think
That maybe it’s true
I don’t look at things
The way other people do
Maybe I’m too different
For anybody
Not just you

Yo EBM,

I wouldn't worry about it, that's pretty normal.

ebm, its in being different that gives our lives it melody...we just play our song and those who groove to it will appear in our lives. ww

Poets are extremely different [as are geniuses and other artists] than those who believe they don't have the talents they were born with. A lot of it is attitude...

and for some, it's altitude.

Different is good!

And good for us!

Clever poem. Delightful to read. Short and to the point. Very well expressed.

I love this. And I thought I was different...but now I wonder if I am just the same?

No two people ever think alike...or are ever on the same plain at the same time...so while you may question, you, you are very significant, and a very special part of the whole...which makes you...you!

Huggies...

Walt, when you feel like you're dancin' all alone in the dark that "groove" feels like a rut.

Well EBM?  I am drawn to others who are different --- if only I had done something different, it would not have ruined a relationship, but I knew, and did it right next time.  I have always been blind, but an illness stripped away my hearing and life took away everything I once held dear.  Since I have readjusted somewhat, adopted a new believe system, but I am always going to be different whether pop culture likes it or not, or anybody cares or not.  I despise pop culture and television, and prefer to haunt such off the wall places like piptalk where you can peer into other’s sols and worlds.
Like you, what a tender, almost wistful, poignant write!
Please write more of you …
Please?
