If she should ever wake
From the darkest of dark sleep
I pray the Lord her soul I'll keep
If she should ever wake

I wait forever at her side
With no more tears to brush aside
And only the wind howling outside
Will be the only sound God makes
If she should ever wake

I told her I’m the first one she’ll see
And here I’ll always be
So she would come back to me
Oh what a smile my face would make
If she should ever wake

So I lay myself beside her
And write these songs for her
Hoping she could possibly hear
Wishing with wistful tears

I promised I would never leave
A promise I will never break
If she should ever wake

I hold her cold, unfeeling hand
Trying to understand
How to reap a harvest from a barren land
And love for loving’s sake
If she should ever wake

Never has time moved so slow
Nor darkness seemed more to grow
Into her dream I will follow
And pray my soul she’ll take
If she should never wake

Thanks Paul. Haven't seen you around much, but then again, I haven't been around too too much either.

Darkly sweet,
It asks for more,
my taste for verse aroused,
I will come for more
Such is (your) verse
music forever more
