Liberty

Secrets revealed, then swept out to sea
Life's icy truth gone astray in
A space to ponder true distance
hushed words spoken in salient details
Evaporating into heady days of winter

Life envisions dreams like sweet tea
Where he once held onto me
Like large tanned hands
Swallowing, a piece of chalk

Mistaking what I thought was real
Like burning summers, long, hot, & sticky
Begets a cruel harvest
Where heroes are tested
On a bridge between fiction and
Legroom

I still hide

Wonderful, LeeJ, and certainly a great ending!
The "pen" is still magic in your hands.

Ah she is back to grace our boards again... and lost none of the brilliance in the time you have been away, love the metaphor, wish i could say more but it is mostly above my head, but then thats nothing new, great to see you again...thank you for the words...
