I'm drinking and drunk again
when the sun is still east.
Woke up with a rum and coke,
coffee is the nature of the beast.

And I don't approve nature today.

I have a lot to say but
I can't find those words
that I found in yesterday
because the cows come in herds

and it scares me when they're in the road
because someone opened the gate
and it's too hard for me to drive
through them all and wait

when I don't have a driver's license
and I worry the police might pull me
and this whole poem is nonsensical
because I'm dying anyhow and only I see.

This is power in words - we all have our potholes to drive over.  You express yours better than most.

Hang in there, girly.

Well honey. We were all drunk when we read it and it made perfect sense.

Drinking booze early sort of takes the whole day. It comes from a need for escape, but then what's to do but mill around, sleep it off? Not such a good idea to go out prospecting drunk; I know, I used to try it... for years, in some ways.

Glad this was bumped so I got to read it.

Gawd how I love your honesty. So many times you say what most are afraid to, and I adore you for that.

So great to see and read you again dear friend!
