Waves of silence
Slap her
Shores
Like insults
The turned tide
Slips away
Leaving her high and dry
With
Her worried wonderings
On a
Brilliant sunset horizon
Teased blood red to black
Searching
The stars
For answers
That never
Answer back
She cries by the light
Of the futile
Full moon

Ahhh....

HERE is your first poem!
Makes me miss "home"....being CA.

It's rather dry where I live now...
not desert...
but certainly not the shorelines
of my childhood.

Well done!

I see this scene over and over again living by the ocean, and will never tire of it.

Welcome to Passions, and a very lovely first post.

Very different from usual sunset shorelines. Lot of vigor in the seemingly serene sunset. One day I will go the beach and get lapped by the waves
