Bones doesn’t need
his soul saved tonight,
or any other night.

Perhaps if there was some money in it,
he’d give it some thought.

Trouble is,
the earnest little buggers
that are into saving Bones soul,
also have their hand reaching out,
aiming for his wallet.

Bones always says:--

“Thanks anyway mister,
but I’m a good Catholic boy.

Father John
has me all wrapped up,
soul-wise.”

Bobby

Reminds me of a George Carlin bit... something about saving one's soul... "and the Catholics we're after mine! I said, 'No good man! I'm savin' my soul... gonna shine it and use it on the weekends.'"  Besides, I have an issue with televangilists wearing gold Rolexes. I think Bones is covered... tell him to just keep his wallet in his back pocket and his soul on the prize in the sky (or wherever else you care to look).

Thanks Andrew,

Bones fells comfortable with Holy Mother Church.  Father John is very understanding about what Bones must do to live.

Fair enough. I believe we all seek a balance to this existence and some find the solace of organized religion the perfect balm to the harsh realities of this life. Peace.

Thanks Andrew,

What you say is very true.  The Church means a lot to Bones.

I think that I can understand Bones` feelings being Catholic myself.  Bones may not be the world`s best Catholic boy but his heart is in the right place.

Thanks Earl,

Bones always does the best he can.  He's never harmed anyone, and he's generous with what he has.
