I won't play this game with you
Catch and release
Cat and mouse
Taunt and tease...
but never actually follow through

No I won't play today
Tempt and turn back
Lure and keep away
Bait then hook...
then cast out for something new

No winks, no smiles
No hook, line or sinker

But it's not what you think
if it's: "This Cat's no fun"
I simply can't today...
Because I'm having my claws done

But be patient and wait
a merry chase is guaranteed
come this way again and I might give you what you seek

I could even make it a date...
a play date

-----------
Someone called me a tease today and for a moment almost got upset.  But then I thought again - and wrote this.  I let him read it, and he laughed and said "I told you so".  Then I laughed.  And we were laughing together...but I still won't go out with him ;0)

If I don't say it...who will?

I loved the last line of this stanza:

"But it's not what you think
if it's: "This Cat's no fun"
I simply can't today...
Because I'm having my claws done"

Yo dear MorningStar,

It’s always best to keep those scratching, lacerating, and grasping claws in good condition.

I like the way this poem is written.

Love Bobby
