Bones is just that tough.  
He thinks he looks good
with his lower lip
all split wide open,
and bleeding all over
the place.  

He doesn’t put anything on it,
and of course mom don’t care.

For your kind concern.  Yes, the lower lip healed very well.  There's hardly any scar at all.

I remember being about 8 or 9, playing basketball against the older boy, William, from up the steet. I took an elbow to the cheek and cut up the inside against my teeth. It left a pretty good scar that I can still feel some 40 years latter. I guess I didn't mind spittin' blood for the same reason.

So much for a non-contact sport.

Oh well, that's the way it is with William.  I'd stay away from him if I were you.  Basketball can be very rough.
