Bones is on the hood
basketball team.

They play in the inner city league,
against other hoods.

The games are good,
even if they are a little rough.

Lots of mile a minute trash talk.
Everyone has a ball.

Bones collects a split lip.

Bobby

That's why I never liked basketball when we played at school. Somebody was always running all over you and knocking you down. Not my cup of tea.

No harm, no foul... What's a fat lip between hoods?

Thanks dear Ida,

Yes, that's the way basketball is sometimes.  I'm sorry that you had that problem.

Thanks Andrew,

Yes, that's the way it is when you venture out of the hood.

Thanks for the good advice.

Oops, I read this out of order.  The hood is one tough place.  Enjoyable as always.
