Old LongJohn finally got his boat, a beauty to the eye.
He couldn't wait to get it launched and wave the world goodbye
He had been praying for that since the minute that he bought her
But seems he had a problem getting that boat in the water!

He called his buddy Toerag for advice - the silly fool.
(Why does one want advice from one who never went to school??)
But Toe sent LongJohn good advice and this is what he wrote,,
"Don't let the trailer get too deep in when you launch your boat."

So LongJohn went down to the beach to launch his brand new toy,
Ready for a pleasure trip a pirate could enjoy
But something didn't go too well for LongJohn on that day
And dreams of happy sailing all blew up and flew away.

They showed the picture on the news of LongJohn and his craft.
Toerag met me at the bar and we all had a laugh.
So that was that sad ending of poor LongJohn and his boat.
It didn't surprise Toerag or me - just look who got his vote!!!!!

ROTFLMAO... This was too damn funny. At first I'm looking at this picture and I'm thinking, "There is something just not right here." It took me a second to figure it out. I guess it's a good thing I don't own a boat. A most excellent piece my friend.

This is what I get when I take Toerag (that's him at the back of the boat) bass fishin' in 'Bama!

'Deer - this is one very fine poem.  That's "fine" as in women-speak "F-I-N-E!"  In words you may better comprehend, Daffy Duck said it well, "Of course you know, "THIS MEANS WAR!!!!"

talk about the old adage that a boat is a hole in the water to throw your money in...this has taken that truism to a 'whole' new level

The ever-gorgeous Lorelai, the gal way too good for the sailor! (along with most of the female population)

A pleasure to see you again, lady
