no time for inspiration
for when it comes it runs...
like the wind, panting like a racer
in the heat of a high school heat

leaving a puddle of perspiration
gaining its prowess from the sun's...
empowerment,shining like a tracer
in the beat of an eve'ning's treat

no time for obsfucation
for time passes swiftly ere it duns...
like the shark, swirling as a taster
in a candy shop of bitter-sweet

perspiration and even obsfucation
are what remain...without inspiration

Powerful write, dear Steaven. You have caught inspiration in time, I would say.

Inspiration is very vital for creative people. No inspiration no creativity…very well expressed.

I really believe poetry has the potential to touch someone's heart in a positive way - and inspire someone -  but ironically, your poem didn't achieve this goal.

Trapped,

Thank you for your honest comments...your style reminds me of words I have read many times before:

"But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man’s person for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me:"

...St. Paul to the Galatians, chapter 2 verse 6 (AV)
