I didn’t have the chicken to put into my soup
Or the broth in which to place it
I’ll dream of waking up at 2 AM
And smile at life and face it

Someone dear once said to starve the pain
I’d eventually have to face it once again
So life and living come to me
My soup is getting cold, I see

For no longer do I need to blow upon my spoon

There is much to the broth in this one... in particualar, that final sip. Thank you for sharing such a worthy meal.

Yo Steavenr,

They sell some really good canned chicken soup at the supermarket.  You should try it.

There's more that one way to cook a chicken.

Bobby,

Think I will pass on the supermarket soup suggestion (as this write is really not about chickens or soup in any form.)  Thank you for reading...I do appreciate that.

Prasad,

Appreciate your comments on 2 AM, but that is purely from Alison's write...she deserves the kudos for that...thank you for stopping by
