This is what happens to the way we are Things arise and drag us apart Life is brutal, short and fading fast Stop and think of all the time that’s passed Don’t let the fragile thread be severed The ties that bind us forever and ever A plea tendered upon the silent wind To take this angst from us in the end So that loneliness we bleed for each other’s sake We bleed and we bleed until we escape Not content to find happiness in status quo Just scratch the surface of what lies below Neither you nor I shall ever be supplanted As long as we never take the other for granted |

This morning, I was thinking of how easy it is to drift away from even those who matter most... just because both forget or neglect to make the effort. And then I peek in here... and see that you wrote both problem and solution so beautifully. *S* I'm saving this... thank you! *S* |

Oh wow...what suthern said, but more. This had a feeling of a quicksand caring... something that keeps up with you even when times get tough; something that stays faster than oatmeal on a rainy morning. While most of that sounds dim, still, it's a handhold that most won't grasp; a single moment that even more will never know. It's a fine gift, even as storm clouds gather, and winds blow mean storms. It will always be something to hold on to. Well done! |
