        Friends on PIP

I’ve made many friends on PIP
And some of them I’ll mention here,
There’s Linda Dowd who’s much endowed
With poetical nouse, just like Balladeer.

Dear Margherita has a generous heart
As has Bill, Karilea and Alison,
Ida too has made her mark
With the greats in poetic unison.

There is Tracey, Kacy, Dixie and Rick
With Jimmy, James and Bobby,
Along with Karen, Sharon & to tell the truth,
Long John & Yann who've made poetry a hobby.

Billie too is on view with Osprey & Vandana
Zeigheist & Gilead,  with great talent seen,
Rate well with Ruth & Steve who I believe
Rank with Helen, Martie and Maureen.

But now I would like to mention here
A kind word for Linda Dowd,
Her eyesight’s causing great concern,
It just should not be allowed.

She’s had laser treatment on her eyes
With more ops’ yet to come,
I hope you all will say a prayer
For her, this malady to overcome.

She’s just sold to me her brilliant book
That I can certainly recommend,
All written in her special style
From the first page to the end.

I know that all who buy her book
Will one and all be quite enchanted,
Each poem will need a second look
That’ll leave you with satisfaction
fully granted.

Lindsay

Dear Lindsay, this is so very poignant and beautifully done. You surely speak for all of us, as we sorely miss our uniquely gifted and warmhearted Linda Earth Angel. Pip without Linda isn't the same, she is the dancing breeze in here. She is in my prayers and I trust that her eyesight will be restored.

Thank you so much for including me too in your poem together with many other beautiful poets. You show such deep sensitivity.

I do appreciate you very much, dear Lindsay.

I have Linda's book and it is indeed wonderful and it is just as you say, you can read the poems many times without ever tiring of them.

Love,
Margherita

While many may never know
the true name of me
Grateful is this little soul
that shed a light on thee!

Those who lift the names of
PiP into a reverie
shall never be of common place
but know, by you and me

that they be of uncommon clime
by words they shall so speak,
and reach into the higher climb
where words such solace seek...

By common word you bring us here
into the mounted gift...
by common speak, by words that peak
only you...give lift...

but by thunder, gods and grace
we hitherto give force...
by grace and peak and lift, then seek...
we speak our last discourse.

What hithered you to speak of her
a gracefilled, great-filled friend
will be to a liking none may know...
an angel, earthbound, with no end.

For Linda...
A Lady.

As the new kid on the block, I only know a few of the people mentioned.  But I hope in the future to become acquainted with them.

Lindsay - Even though I haven't been here much lately I did notice the absence of Linda's poems.  Please pass on my best wishes to her for a speedy recovery.  Enjoyed your write!

Well Mike I feel quite flattered by the nice things you have to say but I can assure you that the feelings are all reciprecated. Thank you for the help you have given me since I joined PIP.

Jimmy my good friend, I couldn't help but laugh when I read your comment but I loved it just the same. Thank you very much.

What hithered you to speak of her
a gracefilled, great-filled friend

Dear Karilea thanks so much for this lovely poem that you have so cleverly written.
A delight to read.

Earl the main thing is that you are on the block and it won't take you too long to know all these wonderful poets who also become your friends.

My dear Helen it is so good to see your name on the comments again. I will certainly pass on your best wishes to Linda. thank you
