Eating chicken soup
and fresh bread at 2:00 am
makes me feel better.

sounds most pleasant even when one is not unwell!  ...

hope you're feeling much better soon!

is the 'magic' in the chicken, the soup, or the mind?!

lovely Alison, you share something with me that counts, eating when insomnia comes and knocks you, you made me hungry, I love very much the authenticity of your poem, a vibrant declaration to life and a good idea for dinner...thanks for the very enjoyable poem;

Yo dear Alison,

That just might work.  I hate head colds.

Thank you all - this was really just a 2:30 am whine.  Who better to whine to than people who actually don't have to hear me to understand.

LongJohn, insert "tequila" into your response and I am there before you can hit send.

Which came first, the chicken or the bread, or the bread or the chicken, or ... ooooooooh I'm so dizzy.  Think I'll heat old coffee in the old mike.

ahhhh chicken soup
cures eveything from an ingrown toenail to a broken heart
well, maybe not really the broken heart
but it can't hurt!
I like it Alison (the poem AND the soup)

I did try to send you up some chicken soup all the way up to Alaska.  I tried putting in in an envolope but the soup leaked through the envelope and I had to throw it away.  but then there was another problem ... no chickens ... O well, it would have ruined everything else in the mail box.

I think Trapped-NOTHING needs some chicken soup, Alison.

Thank you all.  I am much better.

Oh and, Trapped - I only got to the first word and lost interest.  Seems my attention span is much like yours when it comes to drivel (note another D-word to add to your collection - and it would make your allteration attempts stronger.)

Thank you for your comment.  Can't say that I totally disagree with you, but it was a two minute write at 2:00 am when I was sick.  You spent more time on your response than I spent on my little senryu.
