How can I describe what you mean to me
Or express how you are in my thoughts
Like a favorite song often enjoyed
We are together, in tune, in symphony

This that we share is my own reality
Seems like we’ve only just begun
Don’t want to lose what we have learned
Of who I am, who we are, where I long to be

Safe I am within your mind and free
A place where love knows no bounds
And are held aloft in your heart
As are you within mine entirely

Sacred saving grace, that place with me
Seeing through the charades and masks
And never between us diminished with time
Only strengthened, our electric chemistry

Not only loving you in the deep dark night
But there for you in all the harsh daylight

Wow I love this kind of romantic love poetry!!!  You've expressed it so masterfully...I especially love the title and the ending.

I'm shocked that this has received no replies!

Honeybee...thank you so much. Wow. I'm glad you mentioned the title and the ending. Usually they mean more to me then the actual poems themselves.

Dixie, thank you and I'm sure many poems are written for you. You deserve that.

"Like a favorite song often enjoyed"
the hymns of love are unalloyed
harmonies vibrant hold employed
melodies sweet in two hearts bouyed.
