Twelve years ago, I found a friend
Who is the best that's ever been
And since today's a special date
I hope these words can celebrate

A man who's witty, gorgeous, smart
Who has the greatest, biggest heart
A finer man I'll never know
Than a Bama boy who's called "Toe"

And so I send wishes sincere
To my sweet Buzz who is so dear
Today and always, may you find
Success in life and peace of mind

May you enjoy good times, good health
A life of laughter, enough wealth
May love within your heart abide
And joy overflow from inside

May faith pave every path you take
And wisdom guide each choice you make
May life be kind throughout the years
May you be spared sadness and tears

May every wish you wish come true
May you be blessed in all you do
In days to come, I'll always smile
That our life paths met for a while

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TOERAG!!!

Seems right for folks to get another view of Toerag's early childhood, those many, many, many, many years ago.  Happy birthday, lugnut!

Toe didn't have a normal childhood - not like you and me.
His folks built him a doghouse and called it his nursery.
It all worked out quite well but there was only one small hitch..
When Toe was near they dog they couldn't quite tell which was which!

Toerag was raised on Kennel Ration plus some Puppy Chow.
He licked the bowl clean every night but please don't ask me how.
The poor dog turned to skin and bones as Toerag got quite fat..
In order to survive the poor dog had to eat the cat!!!

But Toerag had a cunning brain. His instincts were quite good.
He knew somewhere there had to be some real "people" food.
He found the fridge, crawled in and then ate everything in sight
And never touched dog food again, to Bowser's great delight!

When it came time to bathe him, he was just too hard to scrub.
He always left a greasy ring around the bathroom tub.
His folks then came up with a plan to get rid of his grime
And wash the pots and pans and dishes, too, at the same time.

He had a knack for painting at a very early age.
He couldn't stay within the lines or even on the page
But he could paint his sister with a real master's touch
(Although she said, in later years, she didn't like it much!)

So that's a small idea of how Toerag started out.
It's clear to see why he is what he is, without a doubt.
So pat him on the head and tell him "Good boy!" when you can
Let's all pretend that Toe grew up to be a real man!

Bravo, Ruth!  And, 'Deer - that was a great response.  It's obvious you spent a lot of time with the composition.  What surprises me with both of you is there wasn't one mention of Sally Sheep in either poem.

Hey, Toe - Happy Birthday you scalawag!  I hope someday to get back down the 'Bama.  The last time I was there every "Gentleman's Club" I frequented said they knew you but you weren't welcome there again.  Go figure.

Yo Toe... Happy B-day my old friend. I hope you get to feeling better. And Lady Suthern... a very fine sentiment, or is that sediment .  Love the Deer's response. Picture perfect if you ask me. Peace to all.

Deer: You know no pretending is necessary! *G* But I love the grins... thank you for adding a greeting only another scalawag could send. *G*

Bobby: Thank you!! *S*

LJA: Thank you! *S* But... regarding Sally??? *hanging head*... I didn't want to have to tell you this... but my kitty's been put on a special diet and buying the cans of lamb and venison from the vet got pretty expensive... and I never did like Sally sashaying around and getting all the attention *G*... so... to make a long story short... Sally is no more. LOL But it's for a good cause! LOL

Great Scott, it's Andrew!!! *S* How are you? It's great to see you back in the scalawag scrimmages. *S* Thank you!

1slick_lady: Thank you for adding your wishes!

Mysteria: Thank you, sweet lady... and a hearty AMEN to those wishes sent Toe's way.

TOERAG and Toe's SON: First... thank you for posting your Dad's response. Second... (yes, Toe, I put your son first... saving the best for last, right? LOL) Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and hearts and have all our hopes that recovery is rapid and complete. Third... well, Buzzie... *S* If you don't know by now that I think you hung the moon, you just haven't been paying attention. *S* Get well, my friend...
