You made me feel dependent. Weak.
I sank to pleading for each caress.
My spirit, once the best part of me,
I subdued because you thought it best.

You blew through my life in a blast,
Thoughtlessly sweeping aside my dreams.
Eroding my strength, the love I had,
Consuming them both to suit your means.

The deepness of my relief states,
Joy found me when you slipped your hold.
My new feelings of worth obviate,
Old memories of remorse and cold.

The past is gone, the present aches,
My future lies ahead unclear.
You are the wind. That was my mistake,
But now you're gone. I'm free. I'm here.

The wind comes, affects us, and then is gone.

Such is the breath of life
to often felt across the heart

Enjoyed the read. Peace.

ah Mike, my long-time friend...you touched my heart with this one as you always do when you get all serious with your poetry.

I love it and I can't remember reading this before either so I'm so glad you re-posted!

always, and you're always in my heart
Thanks for understanding me.

April Fools...the wind stormed today as if it were March...and the rains will be here tomorrow...but that's all good...considering.

Can you inhale the awe? It is so good to read you again, and again...with new stuff...you've been too long gone, m'friend!

I could have been gone twice as long, Karilea and you would still be somebody I remember fondly.
