redemption is a word with legs
following you through the desolation
of life that you had planned
out so much different.
redemption is the space between
what you thought love was
and the hard reality of fairy
tales slapping you skull apart.
redemption is being scared to
death while you look in
anothers eyes as your
heart starts to thunder again.
redemption is the crap you
stir up to face the world
as you crawl out of your hole
taking a breath of peace.
redemption is that chance you
take letting one more in to
your heart while exercising
the demons of the past.
redemption is a wonderous
creature you want to carress
so you can love one more time
without a fear of loosing.
