Conquistador

The Conquistador died in the jungle
He never did find that city of gold
or even the precious fountain of youth

Yo dear Juju,

You did good work on some Conquistadors.

Poor old Ponce de Leon never did find the fountain of youth, however Coronado did get a mall and a state named after him.

Cortez did hit it big in Mexico, and Pizzaro in Peru.

Love Bobby

.

It’s the quest that matters Juju,
(after all, the cup of Christ is just a cup . . .).

Loved the poem!

I hope to learn from those mistakes,to revel in the experience, in the journey of life, and to not concern myself with trivial things like wealth and fading youth.

thanks for the read.

A poem that will remain viable despite all the changes in style that may occur.
