Forever In Your Heart

0 posted 2010-03-24 05:37 PM

What will be my last words?
my last thoughts?
my last breath?
will your vision appear?

Or your colorful words,
each wrapped in my mind,
tucked away in my sanity,
the happiness file,

Where cobwebs hang,
a small dimlit candle,
remains in the room,
burning for your return,

they remain under lock and key,
upon the heart locked around my neck,
your curl of brown hair is there,
tied inside, remains still,

as if yesterday were today,
if only it were, I wish,
my wish came true once,
it can come again,

Life brought you to me,
our paths crossed, fate,
I walk every night looking,
searching in these woods,

clinging to the tokens you left,
words, my most treasured gifts,
will you see my bread crumbs?
follow them home to my heart.

Your poetry grows and matures each time I read it, ARH. You are becoming quite the poet. Just what us Picses people are born to do.
