Dear John,

Build me a treehouse
where I can go to get away
from you and the humdrum
I face each and every day.

Not that I don't love you...
really and truly I do.
But I need a place to drink in peace
and get my stress to decrease.

Build me a beach in the yard
so I can reggae and daiquiri and tan
when I tire of cooking and laundering
and cleaning up after a grown man.

See, I had these places before we married,
before I became a waitress and a maid,
and having to play this role constantly now
is on my nerves, I'm afraid.

So while you're not working
and making me feel like the Travelocity gnome,
build me these retreats to get away from you
and make here feel like home

instead of a prison.

I wish I had that treehouse, Dixie and I don't have anybody to get away from.

Your voice is the voice of sincerity, dear Dixie. Well done.

I love the thought of a treehouse, but even better I would love if I still could climb into a tree and hide behind the leaves and enjoy the solitude.

Love,
Margherita

Delightful!
I have a couple of hacksaws I'm not using out in the garage. If you need one just ask.
nice picks.

Dixie, when you feel like that, take a long walk and breathe some fresh air, or better still, if you have a porch, get a porch swing and listen to some of that great music you have. It always takes me to other places and relaxes me.
