Wet Pillows Dry in the Sun

Nakinurete...........Cheeks covered with tears
Itasa Koraete........Bearing unbearable pain
Makura Nure..........My pillow is wet

......Remember pillows do dry in the sun......

Yo Earl,

You did nice work on this poem.  How are things in Osaka, I haven't been there in about ten years now.  It's a lovely place.

I hope that I can encourage people to write haikus and maybe even to study Japanese.  To Bobby, I don`t know if you remember `Kuidaore`, the restaurant with the clown doll in front of it, but it went bankrupt a couple of years ago.  A statue of `Colonel Sanders` was retrieved from the Dotonbori river after lying there for twenty years due to excited Hanshin Tiger fans who tossed it in the river because of its resemblance to the baseball player Randy Bass.  It was pulled out of the river and cleaned up with the hope that `Colonel Sander`s curse would end.  A curse which had prevented the Tigers from winning the Japan series.
