I guess we both had our issues then
with siouxs and sues and arrow shirts
and little big horns we thought of
filled with special kinds of pleasures

when we were just the gold fish boys
with jesus loves me in our eyes
and hope in some dark skined salvation
I still laugh at that poster of him

where dope was misspelled with an h
and ball bearing jabbering was rampant
selling his medicine to the chronic blind
using fish eyed nancy and her logic show

so history will be in the color of the pen

I love the word play that you employ in this piece.  Such interesting collocations!

"I guess we both had our issues then"

relate more than you even know !!!

happy to see you here
reading you is like relaxing on a rainy morning in flannels drinking coffee by the window

hope you are well

I really do need to read you more often...
your ink flows with character.

This memorabilia of another time
carried well in the inks used
to decry the passages of change...

Well done, DS.

I love the above lines, especially "where dope was misspelled with an h" how clever is that?!!
As usual, I enjoy your poetic expression, your imagery, your clever word-play; you often bring to life subjects that are overused and yet you can add a unique and new spin to it. ~And of course, I relate to this poem!

And you are an extraordinary painter through masterful poetry, like this one.

This is so deep and beautiful.

With you back here again Pip has put on its charming smile again, dear D.!

Love,
Margherita
