Springtime Tears

Thunder storms and tulips,
Dew on morning lawn,
Fluffy cherry blossoms,
Winter snow is finally gone,

Birds are singing in the trees,
Bees are buzzing round,
Heavy coats are put away,
Folks are digging in the ground,

Nurseries are filled with gardeners,
Looking for the perfect flowers,
Then hurry home and turn the soil,
For they’ll be planting them for hours,

Beaming morning sunrises,
Glowing through the mist,
Welcoming springtime breezes,
Like a new found lovers kiss,

These are some of the things I love,
About my favorite time of year,
But the pollen from that dang ragweed,
Always makes me shed a tear.

The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked.

This is so pretty....Spring is also my favourite time of year too

Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world!

Lindsay, my Friend,  Hope your springtimes down under are as bright and fresh as ours in the Rockies.   (I guess I should know when your springtime is,  Research time for me)  Thanks for your comments. Nice to see you.

Lester,   Your wonderful comments are greatly appreciated.  Thanks for the great compliment.

P.S.   So nice to have your thoughts on my latest poem.  I am really trying to coax springtime along just a little faster.

Looking forward to the new beginning, tulips, and  lilacs. (and mowing the lawn)

Springtime wishes for all, Tracey

What a beautiful poem that brings out the essence of spring, and I love the abrupt ending with the reminder of all the pollens and allergens that can mar a lovely springtime day! But you did it with such good humor, that one can laugh and say: amen to that brother!

Thanks for a fine penning, Sir.

I welcomed the rain this weekend, hoping it would wash some of the pollen out of the air. *S* You paint such a beautiful picture of the glories of spring... then remind us of the price. *S* Fantastic!!
