Supernova, I told her
that's what she was.
I counted the strings of wind
as they rolled across her perfect body
making her skin prickle with cold,
that I might make it warm again.

We rose like the tide
making heat waves and splashing
crashing everything within the reach of two bodies
melting metals and setting cloth to flame.

Supernova, I told her
that's what she was.
I could feel her supernova flame
up against my hips and inside my chest
making my heart beat fire
instead of blood.
