Oh, little daffodil
You’re prettier than a rose
Such joy you bring to me
Despite offending my nose

Yes!  Sunshine in a cup and saucer.  Lovely. Then come the rhodys...and then the dandelions, which make my neighbor happy.  He comes down and roots them out of my back yard for the greens in summer and that makes me happy!

Daffodils don't smell bad.
Maybe you're smelling ol' Toerag!
He's not there in your presence?
Yes he is, if only in scent.

(heh - ol' Toerag is acting kinda shy lately.  This oughta flush that rascal out of hiding.)

I'm still waiting for you picture to reapear dear one?

How can we read about gardens without
the prettiest bloom on the page?

These words smelled gorgeous!

good one !

MUCH applause!!

it made me think of Gertrude Stein
and the 'law of identity'; etc:

"a rose is a rose is a rose"
[and a nose is a nose is a nose
    I suppose I suppose I suppose!]

You know, you guys rock!

Jerry, Karilea, Karen, LngJhn, Richard, Ruth, Paul, Bruce & Lindsay - how special you all are to me.

I wrote this while brushing my teeth this morning - and that Balladeer!  What was he doing in my bathroom?  I heard him whispering - make it work, Alison.  Thought he was Tim Gunn - but, thank God, he was not.

You all make me smile!
