Kacy’s garden

Winter’s temporary silence
kept the seeds
of your lonely garden
in peaceful sleep.
But now the songbirds
are announcing Spring
and the seeds stir and stretch
in sweet longing
for the sun’s warm touch.

They listen for your steps
and for your voice.
Your love is not forgotten.
They will feel you in the hush
of a moonlit night.
They will recognize
your tender caress
in the ethereal touch
of the humming breeze.

They will know then ...

And the blooming flowers
will reach high
into the distant sky
to meet your smile ...

N.B. I was thinking of Kacy’s - Midnitesun's - garden where she spent so much time before moving to Oregon and to the distant skies ... I dedicate these words to her, remembering her extraordinary beauty in deep gratitude.

She's smiling...
and your tribute
is wonderfully all about
spring, and rebirth...

Well done, young lady!

The image, and the poem, such beauty my feeble words can only despoil. So I will just step back, keep silent, see, and listen . . .

Thank, Margherita,

"Your love is not forgotten."

And that last verse is achingly lovely.

I'm so bad at goodbyes...I've been at a loss for words since she passed. It's a silly thing that I did in her memory, but I play a little game called Farmville, and well, I placed a horse stable on it and named it for her.

(toldja it was silly)

But it makes me smile, and I like to think that it would make her smile as well.

This, though is lovely, and so are you.

Thank you all, my dear Poet friends, for remembering dear Kacy together with me and through her flowers. She is really very much present here on Pip and within our hearts.

Your words moved me.

Love,
Margherita
