Someday This Will Pass I grew attached the moment I saw him It was like gravity pulling me in We would walk hand in hand From dusk til dawn We kissed and the whole world stood still And then one day she came along And he was gone The hurt in me So deep This may seem like it will last forever But someday this will pass Hold on to your feelings They help you find your way Dont look back and dont regret This may be the answer to your prayers It may seem like it's here forever But someday this will pass As time went on So did I And there stood a new love More right than I would ever know Soulmates, lovers, best friends We grew up And started to grow apart As he packed his bags And headed for the door He looked back at me I knew he would return This may seem like it will last forever But someday this will pass Hold on to your feelings They help you find your way Dont look back and dont regret This may be the answer to your prayers It may seem like it's here forever But someday this will pass Time came again And so did my love Those times apart Only grew us closer Now we know We need us to survive We made those vows We made a home But sooner than later Times became tight Why must we struggle How can we survive This may seem like it will last forever But someday this will pass Hold on to your feelings They help you find your way Dont look back and dont regret This may be the answer to your prayers It may seem like it's here forever But someday this will pass One day I went to see Why I have been feeling so weak It wasn't good she said There isn't much time Cancer is here Prepare to die He stood by my bed He watched me cry Held onto my hand And whispered to me This may seem like it will last forever But someday this will pass Hold on to your feelings They help you find your way Dont look back and dont regret This may be the answer to your prayers It may seem like it's here forever But someday this will pass As all things have passed This shall too I feel I am fading The pain will soon be gone For my love was right I wont be here long I enter the Heavens I see my dear Lord He said my daughter You now see That someday did pass And what you have now Is more greater than before For you have reached My Heavenly door I walk in the clouds, I sing in the dust |
