If you had five minutes
to tell someone something
that you care for
but never even met,
what would you say?

And so what are you waiting for?

If you only had ten minutes
with this person
what would you do?

And so why aren’t you doing it?

What if you had an hour,
or a day.

How about,
a lifetime?

Life time’s vary,
don’t they?

How many moments
do you think we get?

What is a moment?

Is it just a unit of time?

Or, is it a little bit more?

Or much more?

Make sure this person
hears your eulogy to them
yesterday, if not today.

There kind of hard to hear,
when you’re already gone.

Loving you,
is impossible for me
not to do.

Lusting you
is as easy
as breathing.

It’s liking you
that is going to be
the most important.

How many times lately
has someone sucked the life breath
right out of you?

I’m talking about in a good way.

Well, unless you prefer it otherwise?
Hey, who am I?

If your heart doesn’t skip beats
on a regular basis,
or if your stomach doesn’t feel
like its ready to send you a gift
then something, is missing.

That some thing, usually being,
someone.

This hole,
where you are supposed to be,
it fit’s the whole universe
like a whispered notion
in the ear of a star,
and it is where I walk
throughout the day
and sleep, in its hole
during the night.

And I just don’t know
how much more
I can bear.

All my life,
I have pretty much
gotten all that I worked hard for.

This is the first time
I’ve been denied something
I’ve so wanted,
and needed.

Yes,
I would like you to cry me
a raging river
so I can jump in it.

At least for those last few
moments, Iwould once again, feel
alive.

This hurt of you not being here
is a scar
I just cant leave alone.

I wait until its just about healed,
and then,
I yank off the scab, hard!

So that the blood
can run furiously,
down my chest.

Damn me for loving you so!

At first,
my long road seemed shorter
with you by my side.

Now,
it seems to veering up
into a sky
over a cliff
of broken oceans
and arms
reaching up
grasping
gasping
warning,
to go back,
to go back,
go back!

As eruptions
of black lava
explode
toward a sky of
bones,
and flesh
burnt smiles
and petrified
tears
racing
toward a heaven
that has closed
up
its gates.

And it is with all this,
that I still love.

Ohhh! And you wouldn't want it any other way ... to be able to love ... still ..., despite unheard echoes, that is wonderful I think.

There are poetic heights in here, dear Richy. Most beautiful and "rich" in emotion.

Love,
Margherita

If there were only five minutes I would hold my peace.  If he held out his hand to me, I'd dance with him for the rest of my life.  If he did not, I'd leave him to his own happiness, place the fragments of my heart in a kaleidoscope and let them bloom incognito.

Dear Karen, what a heartwarming thing to say thank you!

Something tells me he would hold out his hand.
