        Cusp of Spring

Silent sunset shadows
slip in traceless wander
toward an enigmatic moon
   rising
to caress these ancient
stones and endless hills
in a cloak of soft,
silver-evening afterglow.
As a last Winter hare
guards the pathway into
   Spring,
what spirits and dreams
may walk with midnight clarity
in such a place as this...
mellifluous and profound?

Nodding...

I dreamt of my Dad.

He told me it was time to start zinnias, and obviously, it's NOT.

Then I saw a seedling grow, and blossom--

I woke up laughing and decided I'll not aruge with the "dead".

Your spirit wanders in deep consciousness through these magnificent sceneries and you "report" to us with mastery.

Just wonderful.

Ah, the poem in itself is mellifluous, and profound! I am taken out of body into this place where beauty and mystery abounds. A very moving poem, Sir!  ---Art

Yo Secondhanddreampoet,

The words work well in this winter poem.
