Forever In Your Heart

Quietly, ever so quietly,
I hear the lulling rustle,
clear waters of winters' snow,
slowly, softly, melting away,

They weep their sad, cold tears,
for winters' time has come and gone,
snowy days of magic powder,
seep deep into the sleeping ground,

O' winter, my dear, dear friend,
why must you leave me so soon ?,
although cold, you brought me warmth,
beauty of white star studded blankets,

Nights where mystic moon spotlights you,
your purity of white all aglow,
as your diamonds sparkle in my eye,
oh, the magic that you bring,

It does sadden me to let you go,
my friend spring is soon to arrive,
you two never get along, opposites,
so I must say goodbye for now,

My dear ole' chap, winter friend,
when all the days have passed,
and the last leaf falls,
won't you please come again?
