And Then She

It was over in some edgeless corner of posterity

tucked underneath a dream with no wheels,

where I first saw that smile on her phrase

tucked between the pillows of her pout

and the edges, of her curled up smirk.

Her enticing eyes beckoned, and invited,

this snare within a stare, that tripped the

light excited, especially with the sun

trapped in her hair.

Oh by the way, I adore golden silk.

I still don't know if she's one of those dreams

within a pipe, you know the kind you might fill

halfway with pot of gold, from arches made of

multicolored stripes.

The sky was made of liquid marble that cool January

night we met.

We swam around the world upside down

until the lady of night finally arrived

and began to lower her gown

over the eyes, of horizon wet.

How many times I wondered,

exactly why,

she had to be so irresistible to me.

This only complicates things.

Did I ever mention that?

I was never supposed to be happy you know,

as I'd already made the deal with Diablo

over my lot in life.

Settling, being my nightly glass of pacify

in exchange, for the dolor of dispassion.

Nothing gained, nothing pained right?

Save your breath, I know, weak as watered down,

water, I know.

Thank you for noticing though.

I mean I finally did have that whole enchilada,

albeit somewhat bland, and even some rice and beans

from time to time, I just didn't have nothing left,

to pay the band.

My life, as far as I knew it, was unabridged.

The only thing that was really missing, was that good

and hot, fiery ass salsa.

Well,

and then she came along.

I don't really know what more to say right now

about that except, that for some reason, tomorrow suddenly

tastes sweet, and seconds, now seem like yesterdays.

Maybe it was always like that?

The way it was meant to be, and,

I just didn't know it.

Or maybe, I just wasn't spending my time,

and breaths, with the right person.

Who knew?

Did I ever tell you guys that life itself,

has the best sense of humor of all?

Well that's my opinion anyway.

So go get some, and quick.

As wit is the soul, of all vitality.

Hi there friend, so nice to meet you!
I really appreciate your nice comments even if you are
much too kind.

I will come by your neck of the woods real soon and surely enjoy some of your recent musings as well.

Thank you so much Jo I hope all is well around this special place!

Sorry I haven't been around for soo long, I'm like that I suppose... one day I'll get the ol quill out and try and pen a few thoughts again.

Thanks for digging this out of the basement, it gives me reason to come back and say hi to my old friends and tell then all is fine, I've just been concentrating on my work (I'm a chef instructor at a college) and, well life too of course.

You all take great care. You all mean so very much to me!

Indeed, it does. Enjoyed.

Be thankful for every person who has caused you pain. In that moment, they became your assistant of growth.
