Suthern

thank you for being
who you appear to be
you’re tiny bits of cotton
given a second chance
from pieces here and there
closely stitched together
to form a stunning whole cloth
in soft rain bowed quilt pattern
absolute comfort
tell me a story to cover me
I can get so lost in your words
accepting me for who I am
mistaken flaws and all
giving the mini and the mighty
to make me feel so normal
for all you are, I wish for you
peace

"I'm so hard to handle
I'm selfish and I'm sad."
— Joni Mitchell

Helen, your thoughts were as soft as the pillowy down inside and your words were stitched together with such care and warmth.

What a wonderful cover you sewed here with seamless blends, that will keep one warm thoughout the chill of wintertide.

Exquisite!

Oh, my friend... I am stunned!!

You see me through such kind eyes... and being your friend is a privilege that fills my heart and soothes my soul... and is so dearly treasured.

Thank you for this beam of sunshine to start my week... it's a most wonderful surprise... and you are a most wonderful lady. *S*

fine 'poetic' tribute write!

"accepting me for who I am
   mistaken flaws and all..."

now THAT seems to me to be the most desirable (yet elusive) 'gift' of all ...

applause for this 'penning' !!
