A Very Bad Poem

Let us assume right up front that this is a very bad poem
not evil:
just rotten ideas:
self interviewing myself,
an attempt to get the words,
stuck like pneumonia within
my vocal pipes,
out -
in plain sight
with as much verve as removing
a bannister splinter.
You can't just leave it there
your body won't let you just leave it alone

All night long, there was this yearning for birth
that has je nais ce quia
an itch far below the skin
so scratching it doesn't help
and writing them out won't either.

There really is no excuse.
All the sounds this late
are of the writer's own making
except for the faint tree rustles
sounding like lady bugs gnawing a glass pane

why?
because,
except for a few good martyred lines
this is just another
very bad poem

Yo Jeff,

It's not really that bad.  It's rather par for the course.

ha ha ha ha
that's what I get for
writing a poem about
nothing.
Thanks, Bobby!
I'll scream in a closet later....

This was inspired by a Twilight Zone epi where Billy Mumy played a kid who could make anything happen by just 'wishing it.'
He kept saying:
"He's a bad man
He's a very bad man.'
and then the bad man was wished away into a cornfield.
