Hey, Ali …
I wanna know I wanna know I wanna know what is this thing they are all raving about?
Can you write a caption to help me imagine?
It must be too breathtaking to adequately describe in words …
Dear Ali, I have wondered so much about what snow flakes would feel like, magnified and without deforming and melting or destroying them with my clumsy little hands?
Ali? If I gave you my snail address, could you make some paper cut-outs or renderings of things that enchant you and send them to me collect?
Ali, even a little package from the Toots in Alaska would mean more to me that you could ever know, an expression of your loving and compassionate spirit.
IF you WANT to and don’t mind, if you trust me …
Xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo!

Our papers have been full of hoarfrost photos...so delicate and magical as they are...

Ali, you can only imagine my face when I first moved to the midwest, from the land of Sunshine and never-ending greenery, and was subjected to the term "horefrost"...

without seeing the word visually.

I don't think my face stopped blushing for the whole first winter of my Illinois experience.

For all our Pipster sakes, thank goodness Alaska has you to interpret for us such a magical country, otherwise how would we know it?  How much poorer our lives would be, without Alaska, and more especially without you!

And thank goodness, conversely, you have Alaska.  You deserve such a unique and wonderful country and I hereby confer the whole of it upon you - Alaska now belongs to you (Rise Lady Alison), only because I know you will share it with everyone who loves and appreciates it!

I am very much a home-rooted person and have never particularly wanted to travel to another country, except Greece (I have been there and fell even more in love with it than I was all my life since I was first introduced to its glory at the age of 7) and Egypt, and just maybe France.

If I was certain that my kitty and my house were being well looked after and would be safe and happy without me for a short time, if I now had the chance to visit just one country anywhere in the world for a short visit, that one country would undoubtedly be Alaska (despite the weather brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!)

Your poetic and Alaskan gifts to us are priceless (as are your doggy and kitty pictures to me)!

Dear Allison, where did your picture go to?
How much I was looking forward to that great smile of yours. Well at least I have your words to admire, and they were beautiful just as always.

Happy Valentines.

Alison - those choke cherries grow here also, and are most beautiful when covered with snow, as these are...
