Children Of Haiti

Hunger pangs are often,
Fear and despair too,
It seams the norm for children of Haiti,
But what are they to do?

Then comes the terrible trembler,
The Earth shivers and shakes,
Their homes tumble down around them,
And their fragile existence breaks,

The family’s lives are shattered,
Adults and children are lost,
With nothing left but heartache,
No human way to count the cost,

Hundreds of Thousands of tears,
As children cry in the night,
Just looking for a sympathetic hand,
And a chance to escape their plight,

So off to the worlds four corners,
They scatter the Children of,
This Hell on Earth that have survived,
Haiti’s orphans are saved by Love.

Dedicated to those that
have given so much of their time, money,
and love to the Children of Haiti.

This unbearable tragedy leaves no one indifferent. You say it with sensitivity and great compassion. Gratitude goes to those who act indeed.

Thank you, dear Tracey.

Love,
Margherita

Hard to believe that an entire country can just be wiped off the map
click
that fast.
Hopefully the Haitian govt. will use this opportunity to create a new, public supported noncorrupt ruling system.

But in the meantime, we hear the children's cries
all the way here in America
and taste their tears
in our mouths of sorrow.

You are so right,  and your words are a poem unto themselfs.
If we could hear the cry's would we do more to help?

It's up to the country leaders to fix their problems, not just the ones caused by the Earthquake.   This should be the opportunity for them to get started,

Thank you for your comments,
Tracey

MOM,  thanks for your wonderful comments on this poem.  Sometimes I think I am running out of words, then they just start flowing again,  I can't control them, so I write them down.

Take care up there,
Love always,
Tracey

My dear friend Tracey, you have written a
very poignant, heart touching poem about a

tragic situation, You have a special way with words that I'm sure is appreciated by

all who read it. God please help all those poor people who sadly need all the help they can get.
