Party of One

I finally got it over
Another week is through
It's Friday and guess tonight
I'll do what I always do.

I'll stop by the club
And have a few to drink
Some small talk with my buddies
And take some time to think.

I'll watch the door for ladies
And hope some will come in
Maybe I'll spot the right one
To spark love once again.

But as it usually happens
My hopes remain undone
And I end up partying
At a party for one.
