Friends, m'friend,

I would have shared

them all with you--

and you with them;

but dubious, my company,

a raucous joyous symphony--

the only thing you had to do

was come and join us--

make a few

concessions.

I suppose that you

need

to be alone in crowds.

That "need" to be alone in a crowd is something I possess, alas

It does make the few friends one with such an affliction has, that much more valued

As an introverted extrovert, I too, understand and respect the invisible personal boundary of that. (Or am I an extroverted introvert?)

And does it really matter? ?

I love you Ed. Thank you for being my friend.

my lifelong preference has been to not even be 'in' the 'crowd'...but once there, you guessed it...I'm the one alone.

Mixing well is easy...for a while, then 'they're' in another world...'theirs', while I go back to the comfort of mine --- which has the things that interest me - not the 'fit-in' masses.

Everyone needs their space, no matter the surroundings.

As I told my ex, "If you don't leave me alone, I'll find somebody who will!!!"

and Mike? I'm afraid I'm gonna have to steal that line! *laughing* Thanks, you.

Love to all. Now if you'll excuse me? I think I need to go score me some zanax.

I don't know if I can handle today...

You're braver than I am... My angsts, roller coaster emotions and I are staying home... away from parties, away from crowds... I don't need to explain my tears to the cats or even myself... It's too much, just trying to remember how to breathe. *S*

And still... I wish I could be h-o-m-e today.

Yo Serenity blaze,

I don't like to be alone in crowds.  I like crowds too much, and always want to join in.

This is a cute poem, it's well done.

"but dubious, my company,

a raucous joyous symphony--"

makes me smile...
