         true compassion

Ancient misty trees
on these endless hills
finger clouds and stars
for the mournful winter wind
to play such a sad, solitary tune
that chills both heart and stone
in  this wandering dream;
how soon would one trade
all immeasurable fortunes
and the restless song of ourselves
for one true-compassionate friend?

Yo Bruce,

What you say is very true.

I always found Kacy to be one true-compassionate friend.  They are so very rare, and I miss her.  She was one of the few that understood, and cared about my people.

Bobby

I think we all miss her, Bruce.
I know she made quite an impression on me in the short time I knew her.

Fortunes only bring a cold warmth of things,
friends rented for the trip -
compassion lies in the dust
of the hard-trodden path
most passer-by's
do not care to get dusty...

Liked this food for thought.
