I wrote this poem a while ago, the day after my friend died on 1-5-2010. She was only 17. I'm 17 as well, and life hasnt been the same since. I finally got enough courage to post this... Hope you like it. As always, honesty please. -Jaki H ______________________________________ ~Revelation~ I used to be a joker with a meledromatic mind until the day life fell apart and I realized I was blind the innocence of childhood was torn from out my soul the day that she was ripped from life the day the deathbells tolled I saw friends crumple to the floor I heard their sobs, their moans and pleas staring blankly into darkness they fell to praying on their knees and now, I am no child I thought I had life figured out- life was just a game once I laughed in the face of death now I'm burning from the shame I see the horrors of an era with a media fixed on death popularizing the morbid, filming our last breaths it's disgusting how the movies get as gruesome as their let it's horrific that the priest spoke of a girl he never met Life will Never be the same I'll remember her smiles, her impact on my life I'll never forgive the media mockery that cuts me like a knife and so I'll keep on living, letting agony depart but, no mattter how much time passes by, you'll be forever in my heart |

Your friend would be truly honored by this poem. It is amazing how grown up we get once we experience a loss. |

thank you. its true.. once you experience it life changes forever... i cant even watch death on tv without getting all emotional thanks for the reply! |
