Forever In Your Heart

I sit high above the world, in a grapefruit tree,
perched, puffy clouds of white gently roll past,
Their destination, could take me to you, I could
fly myself, with my wings spread open,
but today, the wind is elusive, so I sit alone,
with my thoughts, chilly from the sparkling snow,
having only my heart of hopes and dreams,
to keep me warm.
My cozy love nest, empty,
I set in a tree, high above the world,
yet I am alone with my thoughts, you
have flown out to sea, not knowing if
to return,
my wing is broken, trying to find you,
the storm was too rough for me to bare,
I couldn't see, So here I sit, alone,
sad, without you, in our tree, waiting
for the wind, to someday return.

The emptiness is very much felt, dear ARH! Beautiful picture to go with your deeply romantic words.

Love,

Hello,

yes I was watching a bird outside my window in a tree, it was all alone, and seeing how cold and snowy it was, I felt so sorry for it, then the poem came to me, and a dove, is the perfect bird to symbolize love, but I couldn't find a dove photo in the winter.

Thanks Marg~
