I'd love to move you like the silent
darkness, water dripping down
and time curled up on your tongue
like lollipops in spring.

Maybe offer some kind of wisdom
that exhausts the ocean with its foamy tides
and sorrow too deep to hide,
still folded in your pocket.

You move so quickly and I
just want to catch your shadow
with it's black and white resolve.
Still you. Whisper. Calm the
terror dancing in your eyes.

My hand is small and when
I wipe your tears they drip
salty and warm down my fingers.
A lump grows in your throat
as you try to scream and I
just want to move you like
the reckless arms of love.

Yes... poignant is the word to describe this work. At once sad, longing, and hesitant, but filled with hope for the possibilities.
Well done.

My wife says I never listen... or something like that

your words are eloquent in the capture of
what is relevant in your world at that time

Mysteria,
thank you!

Bill,
Thanks, not writing a lot lately, but thought I'd stop in since a few words came to me...

inked,
