There he stood in the wheat of gold,
my long tall drink of happiness,
wearing a cookie-jar smile,

Waves of dark brown chocolate hair,
being teased by the fingers of the wind,
his blueberry-stained eyes softly laughing,

I moved in closer desiring to take a small sip,
his hand said hello, cuddling mine, together,
we walked, through the fragrant woods of rain-drenched
pines.

Dreamlike walk deeply romantic and very lovely imagery you evoke here, dear ARH!

A joy to read.

This was absolutely beautiful and poetically written. ~ I loved the ending, such a peaceful way to end a short, sweet poem.

Mmmm, that tingling smell of soaked pine
